Head-strong play

No. 9 DHS will hit the the road to face No. 8 Littleton Tuesday
Nick Jernigan and the Durango Demons have used their heads to outsmart opponents, such as Joseph Sandoval and the Vista Ridge Wolves, all season. Jernigan has scored eight goals this season to help the Demons reach 60 goals in 15 games this year.
DHS senior captain Tony Williams has a big job to do in the midfield for the Demons on Tuesday night in the second round of the CHSAA Class 4A state tournament. “Part of our job as mids is to make sure we do our best to provide the forwards services to go up and get the goals. The battle in the midfield is going to be very important, and we have to be the ones that get the ball and possession.”
