As COVID-19 cases once again increase in San Juan County, New Mexico, San Juan Regional Medical Center urges the community to work together to increase or vigilance and get back to turquoise.
By choosing to adhere to COVID-safe practices, the community can once again move forward from yellow to turquoise and see more of the community open up. One of the most important things community members can do is get the COVID-19 vaccine. It is now available for anyone age 16 and older in New Mexico.
SJRMC encourages all New Mexicans to register for the vaccine at www.vaccinenm.org. Registrants who are 60 and older can now schedule appointments without an event code by logging into their profile.
In addition to getting vaccinated, continue following those COVID-safe practices that have proven effective. Wear a mask, social distance, practice proper hand hygiene and avoid large gatherings. If sick, stay home. Community members should get tested they have think they have been exposed.
