The top freestyle skiers in the USSA Rocky Mountain Division competed in the Rocky Mountain Divisional Mogul Finals in Telluride last weekend.
Two skiers from the Durango Freestyle Team came out on top as the overall combined champions in the state.
Jenna Mulligan and Ben Southworth earned trips to the Junior Olympics based on performances in moguls, halfpipe and aerials.
Mulligan had topped the podium at Aspen in aerials earlier this month and made the national points list for halfpipe.
With her 10th-place overall finish in moguls at Telluride, she will represent the division as the combined champion.
Southworth used consistency in all disciplines and strength in aerials to repeat as this year's combined state champion.
Both will be headed to Waterville Valley, N.H., next week for the National Junior Olympics.
Joining the duo will be Matt Mulligan, who will be attending his third Junior Olympics in three years for moguls and aerials.
Jamie Wanzek also earned Junior Olympic honors for her national placement in moguls. Wanzek will be headed to the Rocky Mountain State Championships in Winter Park, scheduled for March 13-15.
"Jamie was so surprised when she was announced at the season finale banquet," said Kirk Rawles, head coach of the Durango Freestyle Team.
"She had an incredible year as a rookie.
"Jenna is just on fire. She has really stepped it up this year, and I am so proud of her. I don't worry so much about Ben and Matt; they have always skied with passion and consistency," Rawles said.
The rest of the Durango Freestyle Team will finish off the season with the finals of the Spine Colorado Southwest Freestyle Championships this weekend at Purgatory, followed by the State Championships in Winter Park the following week.
This weekend, the skiers will have single-run moguls on Saturday with duals moguls on Sunday.
The event will take place on Wapiti, under Chairlift 5, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.
